WINGS is a global-facing movement designed to elevate women working in — or transitioning into — the green economy, and to place women at the heart of a Just Energy Transition.
At a time of rapid climate action, industrial transformation and geopolitical change, the transition to net zero will only succeed if it is inclusive, fair and people-centred.
WINGS exists to ensure women are not just participating in this transition — but leading it. Launching in January 2026, WINGS will grow from Cheshire & Warrington into a regional, national and internationally connected network supporting women to access skills, leadership pathways and opportunity across the green economy.
We are kickstarting WINGS through the fully funded Women in Green Skills Bootcamps delivered in Cheshire & Warrington from January 2026, for women who live or work in the region. These Bootcamps form the foundation of the WINGS Network — creating an initial cohort of skilled, connected women before expanding across the UK and linking into international partners and programmes.
